Normally, every USB keyboard with standard lay-out should be supported by the
IBM's USB keyboard device driver. However, there might be limited functionality
for extra buttons, like Windows buttons, Multimedia fast buttons, Internet NavButtons,
et cetera.
For USB mice, the same rule applies: every standard three-button USB mouse should
be supported by IBM's USB mouse device driver. However, it might occur that
the scroll wheel will not work with older build of the device driver.

This mouse worked fine with OS/2 on the PS/2 with the adapter. The diference with the Slate Blue IBM mouse is that this one is optical. The middle button works by using the latest USB Mouse driver. |

Comments | Djerk Geuts comments on this mouse. It works fine under OS/2. "On eComstation, with downloaded SW-choice drivers that is, I've got a Logitech optical scroll mouse working as a charm. Still have to figure out if I can assign the thumb button on the side with winXP. Scrolling works fine and both mouse buttons too, the "scroll button" works sometimes and it's not really clear as to what it's supposed to do. I don't use it anyway... |

Logitech Wheel Mouse Optical - USB & PS/2 |

Price | USD 40 |
Comments | Works fine except wheel button (which works with PS/2 connector and xmouse driver though), the wheel itself works. General note: though the mouse doesn't seem to have 800dpi they pledged it still has a very good resolution comparable to ball mice. The optical sensor works even when the mouse is raised several millimeters from the surface so if you have a habit of moving mouse with short strokes raising and returning it between the strokes (like I do) you may have problems working with this mouse. It works fine with Amouse 2.2 USB driver. Thanks to Lesha Bogdanow for this information.
Gerald Eischer told us this device works fine under eComStation 1.0 Fix Pack 4
The wheel button works with Amouse 2.5 driver on USB port. He uses XWorkPlace to let the wheel button acting as doubleclick with button 1. |

Comments | Dirk Billerbeck told us this USB mouse works fine under eCS. Here is what the mailed us: "I have just managed to install the Saitek GM1 USB mouse under the eCS preview2. The GM1 is a 3-button, USB 1.1 compliant, wheel mouse with a 4-way coolie hat. The coolie hat doesn't work under OS/2 but its functionality under Win98 seems also to be very limited (Until now I haven't found any software that uses it). The wheel is working fine. And beside the USB cable the GM1 does also have a 9-port serial adapter." |
